When we receive your resume and a file has been established, a search consultant will contact you to discuss in greater detail your professional goals and the elements of the opportunities in which you would have an interest. We will search our employment opportunities to identify the position openings that match your stated goals and preferences.

When a match occurs, we will provide you with detailed descriptions of the positions and relevant hiring client information then, and only with your permission, submit your resume for consideration as well as promote your candidacy.

In the event current open positions are of no interest to you, we will actively maintain your resume in our proprietary database which will search for matches routinely as we are engaged by our hiring clients for new recruiting assignments. We will inform you of appropriate matches as they occur both through bulletins sent to your email and/or telephonically.

We will also, with your approval, discreetly contact hiring clients in your location preferences to determine if a need for an attorney or patent agent with your experience has developed since our last contact with those clients. We will not identify you by name, law school, or current employer. We will not present your resume unless an employer client has requested it and we will do so only with your approval. Candidates can be assured of a responsive and proactive approach to their job search with complete confidentiality.

Interview Process

  • Before an interview takes place, we will review with the candidate all relevant information necessary to conduct an effective and successful interview.
  • After the interview(s) we determine the employer’s impression of the candidate and provide feedback and status reports as the selection process moves forward.
  • When the candidate is selected and an offer is extended, we may intercede if necessary with respect to any aspect of the offer and facilitate a smooth transition in every way possible.

Candidate Basic Profile

The attorneys and patent agents we place in diverse practice and arts/technology areas in which we specialize generally have the following basic profile:
  • Law degree from a high ranking school
  • Graduated in the top 30% of their class
  • A minimum of 1 year full-time legal experience with a firm or corporation
In the case of patent attorneys, law school and class rank requirements are eased considerably. Of course patent agents do not require a law degree.
