SUCCESSFUL RECRUITMENT

It's not uncommon for law firms and corporations to experience disappointment with their lateral recruiting results because of a tight applicant market and because many of the "brightest and best" are not actively looking and are unlikely to read recruiting advertisements.  What's needed is a recruitment service that's national in scale with in-depth knowledge of the marketplace and experienced attorney recruiters.  Keith Ross & Associates and the Intellectual Property Law Group provides this service.

Since 1976, Keith Ross & Associates has successfully identified, recruited and placed attorneys with specific skills.  We maintain a sophisticated, state-of-the-art recruiting software and several large proprietary attorney databases that help us keep in contact with thousands of attorneys throughout the country.   As a result, we can initiate a targeted recruitment effort that will quickly produce candidates with the specific experience a client requires.

SELECTION & EVALUATION

The most important service our staff performs is the recruitment of qualified candidates with the specific experience clients require, thereby reducing the number of candidates a client interviews to fill a position.  To achieve this, we secure from the client the most comprehensive job description possible and the specific skills and general qualifications required.

With the candidate, we use the resume only as a starting point.  We then conduct in-depth interviews to assess the candidate's strengths, motivations and goals.  Throughout this process, our search consultants are using resources gained from years of experience and specialization.

INTERMEDIARY ROLE

Our search consultants perform  another important service by acting, when necessary, as an intermediary.  If, during the course of the hiring process, issues arise with respect to any component of an offer or other matters, we can often negotiate an acceptable compromise.

FEES

Our firm works on a contingency fee basis and on a retained search basis.   On a contingency basis, no compensation is due until the candidate is hired and commences employment.  Fees for lateral partner searches, retained and exclusive service arrangements are negotiable.

When you consider the cost of your hiring authorities valuable time spent trying to fill a position, the work that goes uncompleted, administrative personnel and lawyers time spent reviewing resumes, setting up interviews, etc., the cost and lack of confidentiality in advertising -- search firms fees are cost effective.
